NETWORK RULES & TERMS
Before you connect
These rules apply to every device using YNC Wi-Fi.
Service
The Yeshiva does its best to keep Wi-Fi available and working well, but speed, coverage, compatibility, and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed.
Access and payment
A $5 payment provides 30 days and a $15 payment provides 90 days of filtered access for one device. Square processes payments; YNC does not receive or store card numbers. Approved rabbis, building equipment, and selected devices may be waived by the administrator.
Adult content and misuse
YNC uses the full OISD NSFW list as its automatic adult-content baseline. Other websites are blocked or slowed only when the administrator adds a separate manual policy. A person who deliberately attempts to access adult content may be placed on the Wall of Shame and permanently banned from YNC Wi-Fi. Tools deliberately used to bypass network filtering are prohibited.
Network activity and blocked-request review
The administrator may review allowed and blocked DNS domain requests associated with a device, including the requested domain, time, request count, and whether the result came from the adult list, a manual block, or a DNS rewrite. This does not include full web addresses, page contents, searches, messages, passwords, or card details. Apps, advertisements, and background services can make requests automatically, so a domain request alone is not proof that a person intentionally opened a site.
Setup access
Unpaid devices receive limited-speed setup Internet. Starting a current checkout can temporarily increase speed and open normal Internet for up to 15 minutes so Square, a wallet, bank verification, or a device filter can work. Up to two applied payment windows are available per device per day. Only a verified Square payment creates paid access.
Records
Device names, network addresses, access status, and Square payment references are kept as needed for billing and access. Allowed and blocked DNS domain activity is retained for up to 30 days, blocked-request records for up to 30 days, and administrative and payment-reference records for their configured operating periods.
